2nd wife Rose Watson
Daniel Burrill Parks was born on May 1, 1821, in Maine. He was the 2nd son of Geroge Washington Parks and Rebecca Morton, or their 5th child. When he was about 4 years old, his parents left Maine and migrated to Ohio eventually settling in the Delaware County- Licking County area. On March 18, 1842, Daniel married Eliza Watson. Together, they had nine children, the first one being born in Seneca County, Ohio in 1844.They lost three of their first four children there between 1844 and 1851. Sometime between 1853 and 1856, the Parks family left Seneca County, Ohio and moved to California with their family. Eliza died in Napa County, California on November 22, 1869.
Daniel remarried on March 18, 1871 in Napa County, California to Rose Watson. (Napa County Marriage Record, Book A, Page 271: D. B. Parks married Rose Watson on 18 Mar 1871. They were married by A. C. McDonell, J. P. No other information given.) It is unclear at this time if his first wife and his second wife were related to each other. Daniel and Rosa went on to have five more children. Daniel and Rose were married until he passed away on January 5, 1892 in Napa County. He is interred in the Tulocay Cemetery.
