"E. Elizabeth Homedale, 89, Mound City, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at a health-care center in Mound City.

She was born Jan. 25, 1909, the daughter of Marion Richman and Christian Estella (Loghry) Archer.

After graduation from Maitland High School, she entered Missouri Methodist School of Nursing in St. Joseph and received her RN degree.

She was a member of the Unite Methodist Church, Mound City; Royal Neighbors of America and Rebekah Lodge, and served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

In October of 1937, she married Thomas E. Wright. He died in 1947. Then in August of 1956, she married Harold L. Homedale in St. Joseph. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Amy singleton; five brothers, William, Earl, Pearl, Ira, and Frederick; three sisters, Leily Lowrance, Esther McKinney and Frances Heine.

Survivors include a son, Donald Wright, Mound City; a sister, Hope Chapnitski, Appleton, Wisc.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at the United Methodist Church with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, both in Mound City.

The Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements."
