Harold L. Homedale, 74, Mound City, Thursday, July 30, 1992, at his home.

He was born July 2, 1918, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to William and Blanche Johnson Homedale. Mr. Homedale moved to Mound City as a child and graduated from the Bellevue High School, near Mound City. He farmed in Holt County most of his life. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in France.

On Aug. 10, 1956, he married Elizabeth Wright at the Huffman Methodist Church, St. Joseph. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Donald Wright, Mound City; a daughter, Amy Singleton, St. Joseph; two brothers, Clarence Homedale, Unionville, Mo., and Leroy Freed, Mound City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 1 at Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home, Mound City.
Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, with military rites conducted by members of the Missouri Air National Guard, St. Joseph, MO. The Rev. Bruce Bray officiated.

Pallbearers were Ron Singleton, Robert Brown, Robert Wright, Douglas Wright, Sean Scarbrough, and Jeremy Scarbrough.
