He deserted on 2/19/1863; went to Washington, D.C.
Enlisted on 2/9/1864, he was mustered into VA Fredericksburg Light Artillery as a Private.
Present on all surviving rolls.
Wounded 10/7/1864 in left ankle at Fort Harrison, VA. per pension application.
He was Surrendered on 4/9/1865 at Appomattox Court House, VA.

Postwar, married to Susan C., he applied for pension in 1900. Died of cancer.

The artillery company which became the Fredericksburg Artillery organized in its namesake city on January 19, 1861.
