Ernest Andrew Boldt, son of Mr. Heinrich Boldt and Maria Nee Schmidt, was born April 19, 1874 at Kiel, Germany, and died Tuesday, July 16, 1940 at 5:00 am in the Sioux Valley hospital at Cherokee, Iowa, having attained the age of 66 years, 2 months and 27 days.
On January 1, 1899 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Holst. To this union four children were born: Arnold, Irene, Alfred and a daughter who died in infancy.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife; three children, Arnold of Calumet, Irene of Chicago, Ill and Alfred of Calumet; four grandchildren, Burleigh, Wesley, Benjamin and Lorraine Boldt; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Broeer of Huron, S. Dak; other relatives and a host of friends.
Interment was made in Liberty Cemetery of Calumet.
