Jeffrey E. Caldwell, 56, of Columbus died Friday evening at his residence. He was an employee of the Kroger Co.

He was a 1974 graduate of Fairbanks High School and attended Columbus College Arts and Designs. He was a former employee of Arlington Decorating, and was the previous owner of Caldwell Interior.

Jeff was born December 15, 1955 in Marysville to J. Elwood and Mary Ann Hughes Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elma Sewell; maternal grandfather, Cecil Hughes; paternal grandparents, Dock and Dova Caldwell.

He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his loving parents, J. Elwood and Mary Ann Caldwell of Marysville; his sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Lynn Mulkey of Dublin; a niece, Alicia Mulkey; nephews, Jeremy and Evan Mulkey; aunts, Kay (George) Whitt, Fay (Bernie) Kopp, Peggy (Doug) Bailey, Anita Caldwell, Ginny (Dick) Sparks, Marie (Bill) Fuson; uncles, Homer (Susan) Caldwell, Bobby (Theresa) Caldwell; many cousins; maternal step-grandfather, Jack Sewell of Marysville; and his pets, Phoebe and Albert.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday with the Rev. Peter Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.

Pall bearers for Jeff will be Jeremy Mulkey, Evan Mulkey, Alicia Mulkey, Bobby Joe Caldwell, George Whitt, and Larry Caldwell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
