Arthur D. Potter, 77, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at Danville Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Born June 30, 1919, in Macomb to Russell D. and Elva Belding Potter, he married Mary Russell on Feb. 12, 1947, in Monmouth.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Bernard E.; two daughters, Ann Kathleen Wall and Barbara Alice Schumacher; four brothers, George, Lewis, Paul, and Gary; two sisters, Audrey Denholm and Martha Hoffmaster of Woodbridge.

He owned and operated Art's TV, drove a Farm Service bulk truck, worked for Lindstrom's Appliance and Ringlen's Appliance.

A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Abingdon American Legion.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Monmouth.
