Phamariah was known by her nickname "Fanny." Fanny was born about 1802. Her exact place of birth is not known. She died sometime after 1880 in Blount County, Alabama. Fanny's mother was Patience Farris (maiden name unknown). Fanny moved with her mother and three sisters from Franklin County, TN to Blount County, Alabama in the early 1820's. The name of Fanny's father is not known. Two of Fanny's sisters were Mary Farris Grubbs (wife of Enoch Grubbs) and Sarah Farris Bentley (wife of Andrew J. Bentley). The name of Fanny's other sister is not known.

On 3 May 1823, Fanny married (1) John Davis. The marriage was recorded in Jefferson County, Alabama, but may have actually occurred in Blount County, Alabama, and Fanny's 1st name is listed as "Maria." Fanny and John had the following children:

1. Rebecca J. Davis (Abt. 1824 - Aft. 1880)

2. Enoch H. Davis (Abt. 1832 - 16 May 1864), married Nancy B. Walker daughter of James Hanks Walker & Frances K. McDonald.

3. Lewis "Luke" Davis (20 Jul 1837 - 7 Feb 1887), married Mary Hayden Culwell daughter of Joseph S. Culwell and Rebecca Johnson.

4. Elmira M. Davis King (Abt. 1839 - 29 Jun 1916), married James Leroy King son of William "Billy" King and Sarah A. King.

Two other "possible" children include William A. Davis (born abt. 1829) and John H. Davis (born abt. 1831).

After John's death, on 3 Mar 1839, Fanny married (2) Drury W. Wall, Sr. Fanny & Drury had the following child:

1. Drury W. Wall, Jr. (Abt. 1840 - 7 Apr 1863), married Mary Ann Ratliff daughter of Jeremiah Ratliff and Annie Powell.

Fanny also helped raise her step-children, (1) Mary Jane Wall Farley (2) Joseph Wall, (3) Henry W. Wall, (4) William Madison "Matt" Wall, and (5) Joel Wall.

Some family members believe that Fanny "may" be buried at the Tidwell Cemetery in Blount County, Alabama, where her daughter Elmira is buried but that information has not yet been confirmed. Searching for additional information and burial info. Please contact.
