On 3 May 1823, Fanny married (1) John Davis. The marriage was recorded in Jefferson County, Alabama, but may have actually occurred in Blount County, Alabama, and Fanny's 1st name is listed as "Maria." Fanny and John had the following children:

1. Drury W. Wall, Jr. (Abt. 1840 - 7 Apr 1863), married Mary Ann Ratliff daughter of Jeremiah Ratliff and Annie Powell.
