Jane M. Gerk of Greeley, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2015. Jane was born in Longmont, Colo., to Milton and Melba Cantonwine, where she spent her childhood. She is a 1953 graduate of Longmont High School.
On April 28, 1957, she married the love of her life, Lawrence E. Gerk. Her greatest joys in life were sewing, gardening and rocking a baby. She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Jane is survived by her children, Lawrence Gerk Jr., of Greeley; Regina and Jeff Andrew of Steamboat Springs; Andrew Leigh Ann Gerk of Loveland; Catherine and Tom Roche of Fort Collins; Elizabeth and John Fisher of Fort Collins; Teresa and Steve Baker of Greeley; and John Gerk of La Salle. Along with 10 grandchildren, Ryan Olivett, Sam Andrew, Heather and Heidi Gerk, Madison and Justin Gerk, Seth and Sam Baker, Kelli and Cassidy Roche. Sister, Marilyn King and brother, Phillip Cantonwine.
Jane is preceded in death by Lawrence E. Gerk; and eight siblings.
A Memorial Services for Jane will be held at 11 a.m., this Thursday, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rosary starting at 11 a.m. and a Memorial Service to follow. The Gerk family has entrusted Northern Colorado Crematory for the care of their loved one.
