Obituary- Published in The Airdrie Echo on November 24, 2010---LORIMER, Heloise (Vansickle) April 4, 1912 - November 11, 2010 It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt on Thursday, November 11th, 2010 Airdrie was Heloise's place of birth and where she spent all of her 98 years. We affectionately called her the "Queen of Airdrie". Heloise is survived by her sons, Gary (Dorothy), Buzz (Rhea), Rick (Lynn); grandchildren Joni (Bryce) Wright, Cathi (Barry) Ferguson, Trudi (Marc) Andratshke, Robert, Beth (Justin) Francois, Becky (Paul) Allen and Clayton (Kim) Tyler; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Heloise was predeceased by her husband Jim; brothers Calvin, Marvin and Lincoln, and sisters Eileen and Muriel. A celebration of life was held at Airdrie United Church, 216 First Avenue N.E. on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family extends special thanks to Sharan Bennett, as well as the staff at Airdrie Bethany Care Centre for the excellent care they gave Heloise.
