Myrtle Shofner Babbs, 77, Henderson, died at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Myrtle had worked for CBS Dress Factory, Hahn Incorporated, and Gibbs Die Casting, having retired in 1994. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Curtis Hoover “Hoot” Babbs, who died November 2, 2005; her parents, Jess Thomas and Lula Margaret Greenwell Shofner; and one great-grandson, Reed Brian Thomas Miller.

Survivors include two daughters,

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and until 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Mason Baushke, Danny Lewis, Tim Shirel, Tommy Miller, Matt King, and Jacob Grossman.
