Jimmie Melton Blair passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005,. at her home. Funeral services were held at the New Short Mountain Methodist Church on April 9, 2005 with Bro. David Dial officiating.

She was survived by her husband of 70 years: Henry Norman Blair of Woodbury; Nolan Douglas (Jackie) Blair of Woodbury and Billy (Sue) Blair of Murfreesboro; two sisters: Frances Moore of Murfreesboro and Christine Maxwell of Detroit Mich.; one brother: W.H. "Buster" Melton of Detroit, Mich., five grandchildren: Melissa Wright, Joel T. Blair and Eve Blair, all of Murfreesboro, John Blair of St. Louis, Mo., Susan Blair of Smyrna. . Also surviving was her great-grandchild: Matthew Reed of Murfreesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents: Adam Melton and Boma Jones Melton; her son: Gayle Blair; brothers: Kenneth and Reb Melton.

She was a member of the New Short. Mountain Methodist Church and was retired from Colonial Corp.
