Josiah Brooks and his wife, Mary Reed, were most likely buried in Green Township Cemetery (aka Cheviot Cemetery). By the time this cemetery was shut down, there were no identifiable headstones for Josiah and Mary. Known remains (including those of their daughter, Jane Brooks Burk), were reinterred at Bridgetown Cemetery and the respective markers were destroyed.

Green Township Cemetery (aka Cheviot Cemetery) no longer exists. The remains that were buried in this cemetery were reinterred in Bridgetown Cemetery at 4337 Harrison Ave. All of the gravestones were discarded and a single marker was erected.
