H. C. BABCOCK, formerly of this city, died Sunday afternoon at his home in New York. Mr. BABCOCK’s business life in Hartford was in connection with P. Jewell & Sons and the Jewell Belting Company, by which concerns he was employed for many years. He moved from Hartford a dozen years ago. Mr. BABCOCK was a member of the Hartford City Guard, which he joined August 2, 1862. He was a member of the Veteran Association, Hartford City Guard, which is composed of members who served during the Civil War. Mr. BABCOCK leaves a wife, but no children.
