Funeral services for Dr. William Fuller Sharp, 83, a retired San Francisco dentist, and a resident of San Rafael for many years prior to 1943, were held yesterday. He died at Franklin Hospital Sunday.
He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in San Rafael in 1947. His widow, the former Grace Bradford, survives. He also leaves a brother a sister, and 4 daughters. The doctor moved to San Francisco in 1943.
He was a faculty member for 30 years of the University of California college of dentistry. He was once president of the San Rafael park board.
A native of Sacramento, Dr. Sharp studied at the U.C. dental college and at Harvard University where he founded the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity. He retired from the US faculty in 1921 as an emeritus professor and gave up active practice of dentistry in 1926.
Funeral was under the direction of N. Gray and Co., San Francisco.
