Grace was born July 15, 1940 in New York City. She moved at a young age to Nome, Alaska and was adopted and brought to Seattle at the age of 5 by Joe and Pearl Pierce. At the time, she was featured in the paper as "The youngest passenger ever to fly unescorted aboard an Alaska Clipper." Grace loved her family, animals, travel and music. She played and taught piano, flute and organ and was still teaching up until three months before she died. Grace was choir director and organist at First Baptist Church in Puyallup for many years, and participated in community band and flute groups and many music organizations. Grace is survived by her husband of 55 years Stan Moe, Sr., son Stan Moe, Jr. (Penny), daughter MariEsther Moe Burnham (Eric) and grandson Thomas, and son Richard Moe (Ashley) and grandson Bowie. Her grandsons brought her great joy. A memorial service for Grace will be held on Saturday, March 29th, at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 1219 15th St NW, Puyallup, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to First Baptist Church of Puyallup, the Tacoma Rescue Mission, the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County, or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Hill Funeral Home, 235-845-1172.
