Claudia A. Banks of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born on September 9, 1920 in Sevierville, Tennessee to Martin L. and Hester McGaha. She married Alva H. Banks in Sulphur, Oklahoma in 1935. Her husband, Alva, passed away on November 11, 1993 in Lindsay, Oklahoma.
Claudia lived in Lindsay for 73 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindsay. She worked as a waitress at Holts Restaurant and as a clerk at the Jiffy Mart in Lindsay. One of her favorite pastimes was playing games on the P.C. Claudia left this world on Monday morning, March 23, 2015 in Marietta, Oklahoma at Mercy Health Center- Love County at the age of 94. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
Claudia is survived by her daughter, Linda Renick and husband Jim, her son, Roy Banks and wife Faye, her sister, Reba Rodriquez of Concord, California, her brother, Charles McGaha of Chonchilla, California and her grandchildren: Kim Dula, Melissa Streidl, Wes Kinney and Billy Banks. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Danielle Dula, Jeremy Dula, Kyle Martich, Katherine Kinney, Sebastian Kinney and Sawyer Banks.
Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Banks, her parents, Martin and Hester McGaha, her twin sister, Maudia, three other sisters, Inez, Pauline and Lucy and two brothers, Hamlin McGaha and Roy Scott.
Funeral services for Mrs. Banks are set for one o’clock p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home Chapel, located at 308 S.W. 3rd Street in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Chaplain Steve Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
