ESTER MARIE HARNE, 90, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Williamsport Retirement Village. Born March 28, 1924, in Williamsport, MD, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Sarah Madison Flurie.
Esther was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harding Harne Sr.
Esther was survived by two daughters, Cathy Lois Thim, Williamsport, and Sarah Elizabeth Harne-Britner, Halifax, PA; two sons, Jack Overton Harne II, Keedysville, and Mark Stewart Harne, Williamsport; two brothers, Eugene Flurie, Williamsport, and Abram (Bud) Flurie, Hagerstown; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan A. Harne; one son, Warren Harne Jr.; one sister, Bessie Burns; and four brothers, James Flurie, Allen Flurie, Robert Flurie, and Charles Flurie.
Services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
