PEORIA - Ellen M. Gregory, 87, of Peoria passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, surrounded by her loving family.She was born March 19, 1928, in Peoria to William W. and Frances (Smith) Maynard. She married Herb Hofmann. She later married Harold Gregory. Both husbands preceded her in death.Also preceding her in death were her loving companion of 36 years, John Barcy; two sons, Nathaniel and Don; her daughter, Kathy; her brother, Jim; and her grandson, Jesse.Surviving are her children, Carolyn (Bill) Grawey of Peoria, Chuck (Brenda) Hofmann of Chillicothe, Dale (Diane) Hofmann of Dunlap, John (Liz) Gregory of South Dakota, Karen (Roger) Carter of Marquette Heights, Laura (Troy) Krause of Mapleton, Jim (DeDe) Gregory of Chillicothe and Lynn Konopka of Rockford; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Isabel Donnelly of Chillicothe.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Ellen's funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, with the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery near Dunlap.Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
