Frances "Pinky" Lorraine Allison, age 94, of Aplington, Iowa, was born the daughter of Louis and Alice (Croot) Freeseman on September 30, 1921, in Grundy County, Iowa.

Pinky was united in marriage with Frank J. Allison on December 21, 1940 in Parkersburg. After their marriage, they lived in Oelwein, Cedar Rapids and then settled in Butler County. Pinky was a homemaker and mother to their son, James. When Frank retired, he and Pinky moved to Parkesburg. After Frank passed, Pinky lived in their home until 2009 when she moved to Maple Manor Village in Aplington.

Pinky loved music and was a very talented musician. She played the accordion, guitar, banjo and the harmonica. Pinky enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent baker. Pinky greatest joy was time spent with her family and friends.

Pinky died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Maple Manor Village in Aplington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on December 18, 1982; her parents; 11 siblings, Harold Freeseman, Sue Harkin, Mable Kremeyer, William Freeseman, Melvin Freeseman, Johnny Freeseman, Fred Freeseman, Alice Smeins, Bertha Allison, Katherine Larson and Leona Voogd.

Pinky is survived by one son, James (Sue) Allison of Durham, North Carolina; two grandsons, George Allison of Macomb, Illinois and Lee (Jo) Allison of Durham County, North Carolina; and one great- granddaughter, Leia of Durham County, North Carolina.
