He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Lester, and Sterling Lawson; and sisters, Florence Gradel.
He is survived by wife, Lois A. (nee Franke) Lawson; daughters, Tina (Richard) Gullett and Kimberly (Greg) Kinman; grandchildren, Nicole (Gary) Kinman, Christopher (Tamara) Gullet, and Derrick Gullet; great-grandchild, Zachary Kinman; brothers, Marvin, Johnny, Grady (Joan), and Clarence (Sandy) Lawson; and sisters, Nellie (George) Akers, Roxie Howard, and Willo Bea Rooker.
Funeral services were held May 7 at the E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. Interment followed at the Pierce Township Cemetery.
