YOUNGSTOWN--Jackie L. Bash Sr., 48, 161 N. Hazelwood Ave., Youngstown, died, Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 25, 1959, in Warren, the son of Elinor Barnett Bash and the late Leon H. Bash.

He was a graduate of New Castle School of Trades, and was employed at Meridian Services as a counselor. He was a Veteran of the Army, Having served the 101st Army Airborne.

Jackie was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Surviving are fiancée, Kelly Squires of Youngstown; mother, Elinor Bash of Warren; sons, Steven Craig Bash of Warren, Anthony R. Veda) Koren of Niles, Jason S. (Jacquelyn) Bash of Cortland, Jackie L. Bash Jr. of Youngstown, Christopher J. Bash of Warren, Brandon "B-Man" Bash of Youngstown and his stepson, Shawn Squires of Youngstown; sisters, Dorothy (Dennis) Border of Howland, Janet (Roger) Pease of Cortland, Donna (Gary) Dockery of Warren, Cheryl Bash of Warren and Judith Sanders of Warren; grandchildren, Michael (Duck) Santiago, Veda and Vela Carter, Anthony Koren Jr., Brionna and Ella Bash, and many Nephews and Nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon H. Bash; brothers, Lawrence and Ronald Bash, and sister, Shirley Bash.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Cross will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Kerr Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions be made to Jack Bash and Kelly Squires, in care of 717redit Union, Warren or Alcoholic Anonymous of Youngstown.
