Entombment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette.

A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Romero was born on February 13, 1915 in Loreauville, and was the daughter of Louis and Aurelia Boudreaux Tauzin. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, farming, playing solitaire, sewing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Romero was a Christian woman devoted to Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Audrey Romero of New Iberia, Lamona Derouen and husband Lionel Derouen, Jr. of Patoutville, Juanita Owens and husband Whitney of New Iberia, Sheryl Derouen and husband Daniel of New Iberia; sister-in-law, Cecile Tauzin of Loreauville; 15 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 25 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Roy Romero; 7 brothers, Andrew Tauzin, Anthony "Tony" Tauzin, Clarence Tauzin, Percy Tauzin, Mose Tauzin, Francis Tauzin, Louis Tauzin, Jr.; 2 sisters, Lilly Mae Romero, and Rita Emonet; and a granddaughter-in-law, Patricia Owens (wife of Richard).
Pallbearers will be Drury Derouen, Rowdy Owens, Rene Owens, Danny Derouen, Marvin Derouen, and Lionel Derouen, III.
