"Rev. Ansel H. Huling, son of the Rev. Daniel and Lydia (Burlingame) Huling, was born June 7, 1838, in New Berlin, NY. He was educated at Mendota Seminary and Hillsdale College.[Mich]. His ordination took place in 1863. He has held pastorates at Sugar Grove, Ill, Raymond and Evansville, Wis. He was one of the founders of the Christian Freeman and was one of its editors and corporators. In 1874 he was chosen editor and manager of the Western Department of the Morning Star. He was instrumental, as agent of the Wisconsin Yearly Meeting, in the founding of the Cairo, Ill. Mission. He has been several times elected delegate to General Conference, and has been a member of the Home Mission Board. He was married in April, 1860, to Emily L. Stewart. His home is in Cincinnati, where he is at present [1888] engaged in literary work."
