GREENWOOD, N. Y., April 26.—

The death of Percy Reed Sampson occurred last evening after a lingering illness. He was 71 and was a native of Savona, having lived in Greenwood for 22 years.

He had worked for Hugh Slawson as a lumberman for 15 years.

In 1906 he married Miss Libbie Spohr of Buffalo. He was a former member of the Lodge of Eagles and the Odd Fellows lodge in Jamestown.

He is survived by his widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Everett Osmin of Greenwood and Mrs. John Reagan of Erie, Pa.; 2 sons, Fred Sampson of Niagara Falls and Wesley Sampson of Greenwood; 2 brothers, Lewis Sampson of Jamestown and Edgar Sampson of Greenwood; 4 sisters, Mrs. Laura Mitzlor, Mrs. Lulu Straight, Mrs. Alice Straight and Mrs.
Mildred Cannon of Savona; 4 granddaughters, one grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
