JoAnne Wheeler, 83, Bismarck, died March 19, 2015, at Sanford Health.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Legacy United Methodist Church in Bismarck with Rev. Kermit Culver officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service in Bismarck and will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
JoAnne was born on December 4, 1931, in Halliday, ND, to Nick and Olive (Trousdale) Feigel. She was raised and educated in Halliday. JoAnne married Wallace “Mike” Wheeler on December 8, 1950, in Kennewick, WA. They lived in Halliday and Riverdale, ND, and in Washington and California before returning to Bismarck in 1959.
JoAnne was employed with Will-Moore School for one year and Jeannette Myhre Elementary School in 1986. She retired in 1996. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. JoAnne enjoyed camping and fishing with her family.
JoAnne is survived by two daughters, Linda Erling of Raleigh, NC, and Sandra Wheeler of Bismarck; one son, Rick Wheeler of Bismarck.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike; her son, Rodney; her brothers, James and Earl; her sisters, Janet Loehner, Delores Ensz, and Sharon Neuberger.
