She was the wife of John A. Arthur Jr. and the mother of Shelby, John lll, Nancy, Mary, Luke, Lewis, Louisa, Sarah, Charlotte, Frances, Thomas, Rhoda, and Phillip.
John lll moved to Texas and was one of the founders of a little town called Saltillo where he and his sons owned numerous businesses. He is buried in the Old Saltillo cemetery in Hopkins Co, TX.
Four of her sons fought in the Civil War and 2 died there.
Charlotte lived in the house that John Jr. built for her the rest of her life and the Arthur Cemetery is behind that house on a hill.
