Granite obelisk erected on Dalrossach Hill, 1908, to General Sir Alexander Leith KCB of Freefield and Glenkindie, d.1859, aged 84. Fought in Peninsular War etc. Knighted 1815; known by soldiers as 'Cauld Steel'.
