Corine Elsie Niesen Miller, 98, a life-long resident of the Cego, died on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 21, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will be in Cego Cemetery.

Corine was born in Cego, Texas, to the late William H. Niesen and Ella Bloch Niesen. She married Otto (Shay) Miller on January 29, 1938. The couple resided in the Cego community until her husband's death in 1986 and she continued to live there until recently. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Cego until its closing in 2005. As long as her health permitted, Corine was an avid vegetable gardener and loved to work in her yard and kept it in tip-top shape. She was an excellent cook and her grandchildren knew they could count on her for gingersnap cookies, coffee cake and doughnuts.

In addition to her husband, Corine was preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her son, Wilbur Miller and wife, Martha, of Houston; daughter, Helen Miller, of Waco; grandsons, Doug Miller and wife, Malinda, of Porter, and Lee Miller and wife, Milissa, of League City; granddaughter, Lisa Diaz and husband, Bob, of Fulshear; great-grandsons, Cameron and Corey Diaz, of Fulshear; great-granddaughter, Lexee Miller, of League City; brother, Norman Niesen, of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Fay Niesen, of Cego; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
