ADEL -- A funeral for Lura King, 84, of Adel was held June 18, 1986 at Fisher Funeral Home here. Mrs. King died of a respiratory ailment June 16 at Charter Community Hospital at Des Moines.
Burial was in the Panther Creek Cemetery near Adel.
Born in Dallas County on Nov. 11, 1901, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Mills. She lived her entire life in the Adel area, and was a homemaker. On March 17, 1921, she married Carl King who preceded her in death, as did a daughter, Jane Braziller.
Survivors include two daughters, Phillis Franzen of Sioux City and Marcella Post of King City, Mo.; a son, Herschel King of Adel; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
