Phelps—Funeral services for William J. Davis, 62, who died yesterday morning (Oct. 19, 1942) at his home on 91 Clifton St., will be held at the Phelps Methodist Church, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. RuWet Ball officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Davis, in poor health for several years, became seriously ill last March. He was born in Eaglesmere, Pa., but came to New York State in 1909, and since had been located in both Shortsville and Phelps while conducting a retail shoe business and repair shop. He was a member of the local Methodist church. His survivors are his widow, Mrs. Anna Davis, four sons, Glenn, Pine Camp, N. Y., Kenneth, Phelps, Powell, Rochester and 3rd Class Petty Officer Lawrence, Southport N. C., four daughters, Mrs. George Conklin, Phelps, Mrs. Franklin Moses, Newark, Edith and Eunice, at home; three sisters, Mrs. George Harris, Newark, Mrs. Victoria Westbrook, Sayre, Pa. and Mrs. Jeannett Foulkrod, San Francisco, Calif., seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
