Funeral for Teresa Rena Nelson, 66, of Moulton, will be Thursday, March 19, 2015, at noon at Parkway Funeral Home with George Harmon officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Union Grove United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Nelson, who died Monday, March 16, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born January 7, 1949, in Birmingham to C.A. and Linnie Joe Waller. She was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jason Nelson and Jeremy Nelson; brother, Curtis Waller; and grandson, Reece David Nelson.
Survivors include her husband, Joel Reece Nelson; one son, Jake Allen Nelson and wife, Brooke; two grandchildren, Blake Allen Nelson and Levi Dewayne Nelson; two brothers, Joseph Waller and Charles Waller; and two sisters, Dorris Clakley and Linda Kay Moates.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Blackwood, Blake Nelson, Jack Nelson, Louis Jackson Brady, Aaron Yamaguchi and Brian Kirby.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Wade, Robert Kirby, George Thomas and Gerry Jones.
