April 16, 1929 ~ March 6, 2015

Richard Winn left us on March 6, 2015, to be with our Lord. He was born to Minor and Marie Winn on April 16, 1929, in Wenatchee, WA, where he received his education, graduating from Wenatchee High School. Between the years of 1950 to 1953, he served in the Marine Corps as a Sergeant and Field Wireman. Then he attended Wenatchee Valley College. On September 6, 1953, he met and married the love of his life, Thelma Reed, and they had 52 wonderful years together. Richard worked as a merchant policeman for 26 years. He loved his job and met a lot of people and never met a stranger. His favorite time in life was spent with new friends he made at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, including his special friend, Charlene.

Before he passed, he said, “I love all three of my children.” He is survived by daughter, Darlene (John) Yale; his son, Rick (Shari) Winn; daughter, Penny Winn; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephew, Mike; and sister-in-law, Betty Winn.

Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum in East Wenatchee.
