Minor "Lee" Winn Jr., 77, Wenatchee, passed away on Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at Central Washington Hospital.

Lee was born on April 4, 1920, in Ronan, Mont., to Minor L. and Marie (Meyers) Winn. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1938. Lee faithfully served his country in the South Pacific aboard submarines during World War II from 1938 until 1945.

Lee married Betty M. Brandenburg in Wenatchee in June 1949.

He was a life member of Submarine Veterans of World War II and the Elks No. 1186. He was a 50-year member of the American Legion Post No. 10 in Wenatchee. He worked at Sears in Wenatchee for more than 10 years from 1948 until 1963. Lee then sold real estate for more than 30 years for Davenport Realtors, Sherwood Roberts, ERA Real Estate, Norm Huber Real Estate and Century 21 at Valley North, from which he retired in 1996.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Betty, Wenatchee; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Lloyd Sims of Monitor; one son, Michael L. Winn of Seattle; three grandchildren, Michael, Josh and Jeffrey Sims, all of Monitor; and one brother and sister-in-law, Richard A. and Thelma Winn of Wenatchee. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert S. Winn.
