Jack was born October 21, 1936 in Ripley, West Virginia to Vesta Mae (Crane) and Foster Fanie , Sr Gandee. He married Bessie Mae Thaxton on January 12, 1957 in Fairplain, West Virginia.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny, George, Marshall, Billy and Junior; sisters, Mary Gandee, Josephine Hite, Virginia Martin, Barbara Gandee and Dottie Utt.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie, daughters, Debbie Harrison and husband, Teddy; sons, Dale and his wife, Loretta; and David and his wife, Connie, all of Charleston; brothers, Carl, Keith Gandee of Ripley, Raymond Gandee of Ravenswood, Ronnie Gandee and Carl Gandee both of Fairplain; sisters, Ruby Tolley of Ripley, Edna Bennett of Ravenswood, and Ruth Dowdy of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Travis Harrison, Shain Gandee, Shalena Callahan, Brittany and Malynnia Gandee; great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in Thaxton Cemetery, Wolf Pen, Charleston.
