Rodriguez, Rosie C. "Rosa", born in Dallas, Texas and formerly of Stanton, CA., passed away on January 1, 2009 of complications from pneumonia at the age of 79. She lived in Stanton for 50+ years and in Murrieta, CA for the past 12 months.
She is survived by her 11 children, John, Andy, Richard, Diane Smith, Edward, Linda Rodriguez - Chavez, Rosie Jennings, Henry, Isabelle McAndrews, Naomi Rodriguez and Deborah Lopez Guillen; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Her faithful husband, Guadalupe, passed away August 5, 2007. She loved to cook (she made the world's best Spanish rice and flour tortillas), sew, work on crafts, knit blankets for her grandchildren and watch novelas with her husband. For the most part she was a homemaker, but at times she worked as a housekeeper and a Nurse's Aide to help with the finances. Her constant companion was her beloved husband Guadalupe. She loved visits from her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Our mother will be greatly missed.
