Alice Litster Barney was born January 23, 1944 in Bountiful, Utah. She was the 8th of 11 children.

Alice was known to be the family angel who always had kind things to say. She served in the great Canadian, Toronto mission from 1965 to 1967 for the LDS church.

Alice married Glen Stephen Barney on September 19, 1969. She was a devoted and loyal wife. She then raised 5 children whom she served to her very last day on earth. She died in her home in North Salt Lake on March 15, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.

Alice believed in the gospel of Jesus Christ and spent her life emulating her Savior. Her smile and her kindness were rooted in her faith in God. Her service was "in the service of her fellow men, but (also) in the service of her God." Even during her most difficult times she would remind us all that, "Heavenly Father wants us to be happy. Look! The sun is shining and the birds are singing."

She was survived by her husband, Glen Stephen Barney; children, Annette Doty, Paul Barney (Tiffany), Susan Lynch (Douglas), Sally Barney, and Todd Barney (Stacy); grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, Ashlee, Brooklyn, Lillian, Rosemary, Andrew, and Emma; and siblings, Henry, Byron, Carlos, Carol, Linda, Dean, and Connie. She was preceded in death by her twin babies, Kelly and Shelly; son-in-law, Jesse; siblings, John, Mary and Bruce; and parents, John and Mary Litster.

Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
