Mary L. Reeves Winters, 64, of Hometown passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at her home following a long illness.

She was a 1968 graduate of Buffalo High School, a graduate of West Virginia State College, and a graduate of Marshall University with a Master’s Degree. She worked as a school psychologist for the Ironton City Schools in Ohio.

Born July 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Charles Reeves and Avalee Blankenship Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James David Reeves, and a sister, Olive Ada Reeves Holley.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Scott) Craig of Buffalo; a son, Jason Winters of Hometown; a brother, Charles J. Reeves of Buffalo; grandchildren, Matthew S. (Kathy) West of Poca, Derek A. Forren of Mary Esther, Florida, Drake A. Forren of Hurricane, and Owen M. Kizer of Sissonville; great-grandson, “Gabe” West; as well as several grand-nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Raynes Funeral Home (Eleanor Chapel) with Pastor Mike Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Memorial Park, Buffalo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 16 at the Eleanor Chapel.
