WALKER, Opal L., age 86 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Spring Hills Singing Woods of Dayton.

She was born November 7, 1928 in Bulls Gap, TN, daughter of the late Bert & Millie (McBride) Arnott.

Opal was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Walker in 2013,

Opal is survived by one son, Roger (Joy) Walker of Kettering; two daughters, Sandy (Dave) Baldwin of Huber Heights & Sheila (Rick) Minor of Daytona Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren, Trina, Dustin, Rob, Travis & Brandon; 2 great-grandchildren, Peyton & Rowan and a host of other relatives and friends. Opal’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to special nurses, Heidi & Becky, for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Opal.

Graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 19 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., #B, Xenia, OH 45385.
