Mother: Rhoda Chapman
Note: This family was at Newmarket and Durham, New Hampshire, and there were no signs that they removed to Vermont bef 1795, but on the 1850 census at Boston he did claim to be b. Vermont. Rhoda's family did remove to Danville, VT some time on or before 1795, so he was b. where his mom died, which was Danville, Caledonia, Vermont. His informant seemed to think he was b. New Hampshire, so some doubt remains that he was b. Newmarket. According to Capt Henry Daniels' death info, his father was b. Danville, VT and his mother was b. Dover, NH, so this coincides with the information found on the 1850 census.
