Anthony W. Marggraff, author of 'Foreign Exchange', a work long recognized as an authority on foreign finance, and for many years in the employ of the American Express Company, died on Friday at his residence,221 E. Superior Street, after a year's illness.
He was born in Chicago in 1857 [sic], and when a young man entered the employ of the old Union National Bank. Later he managed the foreign exchange department of the National Bank of the Republic. He established the foreign exchange department of the American Express Company in the course of which he spent several years in Europe.
