Native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late William Luther "Will" and Mamie Lou Balcomb Knight; previously married to Samuel Benjamin Lanford (June 15, 1962).
Member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and a retired employee with Inman Mills.
Surviving are her lifelong companion, Thomas Waldrup of Woodruff; four daughters, Wanda Brown (Mike) of Woodruff, Sandy Peeler (Jason) of Woodruff, Robin Prince (Jimmy) of Ware Shoals and Debbie Craine (Wayne) of Greenwood; one son, Ricky Smith (Zoeann) of Enoree; two brothers, Ansel Knight (Jewel) of Laurens and Truman Knight of Gray Court; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by a grandson, Jake Peeler and three brothers, Harley Knight, Bluford Knight and Jerry Knight.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Interment followed in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.
