Bluford was the son of William Edward "Billy" and Justianna "Jestin" or "Lester" (ROBERTS) POOLE. His two marriages to women with the same first and middle name left those of us doing research in quite a state of confusion for some time! He married his first wife Elizabeth Jane RHUDY on 6 Sep 1847. They had two children, Julina Frances "Frankie" and Martha Malinda. This Elizabeth Jane died on 4 January 1853, later that year Bluford married Elizabeth Jane GRUBB. They had 11 children. Lewis Roberts, William Wiley, Darthulia K, Elizabeth B, Margaret Ann, Thomas Weldon, Robert Ewell, Tabitha E, Jewise "Bertie", Joseph M and Jemima Ellen.

Note: I understand that Fallville Community Cemetery is on the old Alex Byrd farm which was owned by Bruce F. Mastin. I have been told it is now owned by his son Bruce Jr. and I understand it is not accessible.
