Tom, 81, was born in Moody, TX. He grew up in Dallas during the Depression and attended Sunset High School. He joined the Army and was deployed to Germany in 1954. After the military, Tom worked at Trinity Industries for 30 years. He lived in Dallas, Red Oak, Magnolia and Houston during those years. Tom moved to Harlingen after retiring and became active in the American Legion, Post 205, eventually becoming Commander. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, and a brother, Joe. He is survived by a brother, Sam Harrison of Guntersville, AL, by three sons: Richard Harrison of Navarre, FL; Mark Harrison of Dalhart, TX; Scot Harrison of Birmingham, AL; and Elsie's children: Joe Robinson of Charleston, SC and JoAnna Young of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed! Interment of both Tom and Elsie will take place at the Houston National Cemetery, Monday, March 23rd, at 2:15 pm. The family requests donations be made to American Legion-Post 205, 504 American Legions Dr., Harlingen, TX 78550.
