Kathryn McGee Boyer age 84 passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, at Devereux Baptist Church with burial to follow at Reynolds Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyer was born in Hancock County and lived most of her life in Sparta and Devereux before moving to Sharpsburg. She worked for J.P. Stevens and Concord Fabrics. She was preceded in death by her parents Newton and Cora Jordon McGee and her husband Douglas Boyer. She was a member of Devereux Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Priscilla Veal (Ronnie) of Toccoa and Cathy Askew (Neil) of Sharpsburg, a brother Cecil McGee of Long Beach, CA and a sister Virginia Brown of Sparta, 4 grandchildren, Tracy Key, Dianne Thompson, Michelle Andrews and Nichole Bray and 9 great grandchildren.
