Geneva Nelson, 84, of Owensboro, passed away March 12, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born February 1, 1931 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Pink and Eva Doss Bevil. She was the owner and operator of the former Danny's Exotic Pets and had attended Church Alive. Geneva loved birds and fish ponds, flower and vegetable gardening, and canning. She was everybody's Mamaw and was a person who never met a stranger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Q. Nelson on May 29, 2010, a son, Donald Nelson in 1993, and a great grandson, Joey Nelson in 1995. Surviving are two sons, two daughters, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters. Services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, March 17, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
