In my opinion, Catherine could have been the daughter of Mary and Clement Cottrill (also Cattrell) Heely and must have been baptized on December 6, 1797, at Saint Phillips, Birmingham, Warwick, England.

On December 1818, she got married with Edward Scott, native of England either, soon after arriving in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It is clear that there were a number of weddings in Buenos Aires that took place prior to 1824 between British subjects. However they have not been recorded. Due to the lack of protestant clergymen, marriage ceremonies were performed by the Captain of any of H. M. ships or by one of the principal British merchants before sundry witnesses.

The couple had the following children: Mary, Catherine Eliza (Eloisa), Jane Ann, Emelia, Jacinta Carolina, Eduardo Clemente, Mary Ellen, María Eliza (Louisa), Ann and Clement.

In 1833, Catherine, her husband, and three children, Eloisa, Mary and Ann, were registered at the British Consulate in Buenos Aires.

In the year 1855, she was counted aged 57 years, in a census for the Northern Cathedral, third ward, City of Buenos Aires, living as a tenant, at n° 32- 25 de Mayo street, first floor, with her children Helena (22) and Maria (19). She had lived in the country for 37 years.

She died of apoplexy, aged 68, widow, residing at Navarro, Province of Buenos Aires, at time of death, and was buried, on February 12, 1866, at the ex-Victoria Protestant Cemetery. J. Chubb Ford was the officiant Minister of Saint Johns Church.
Note:
Her gravestone and mortal remains were transferred to the Cementerio Británico, located at Chacarita, Buenos Aires together with further relatives.
