Funeral services for Ms. Wanda Alexander Ford, 64, of Shreveport, LA will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel, Ferriday, LA with Dr. Rocky Maddox and Bro. Donald Money officiating, with interment to follow in Highland Park Cemetery- Sicily Island. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home all under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home- Ferriday, LA.
Ms. Wanda Alexander Ford passed away, March, 10, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Rose Park Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. A retired primary education teacher, teaching at Sicily Island Elementary, Martin Junior High and later at Elm Grove Elementary in Bossier City, LA.
She was preceded in death by her father J. R. Alexander, and a sister Donna Money.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy F. Miller and her husband Timothy of Bastrop, LA; sons, Brad Ford and his wife Charlene, and Todd Ford and his fiancée Kristi all of Walker, LA; mother, Anita F. Alexander of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Rebekah Ford, Devin Ford, James Miller, Tori Miller, Hope Miller, Abbie Netherland and Emilie Netherland; brother, John R, Alexander, Jr. of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Penny Torrey of Shreveport, LA and Tracy Hagar and her husband Steven of Haughton, LA.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Blaney, Stanley Nelson, Steven Hagar, Jamie Ferrington, D. J. Torrey and Jason Money.
