Daughter of Baron Wilhelm (William) von Hespeler of the Grand Duchy of Baden, Germany, and Mary Hope {Keachie} Hespeler, an American

Georgina Hope Hespeler and Augustus Meredith Nanton were married at Galt (now Cambridge), Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario on December 7th, 1886

In 1917, Augustus was knighted for his humanitarian efforts during the Great War, one of few Winnipeggers ever to receive such an honour

Lady Georgina Nanton died in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 23, following childbirth of a daughter
