After 97 years of living, the immortal Beth Vance finally “GOT OUT!” We are happy to announce that nobody had to shoot her, as she often requested. She died peacefully at her home in Las Vegas Nevada Monday March 2, 2015, with her loving grandchildren attending her final moments.

Beth was born November 29, 1917, in Evans, Utah. She was the 2nd child born to Olga Karren and William Arthur Allen. With four brothers, Kenneth, Fred, Reese and Jay, she was the only girl in the family, until 16 years later she was blessed with a sister, Jaleen.

Beth spent the majority of her life in Tremonton. She attended and graduated from Bear River High School. She married Rex Laub in the Salt Lake City Utah temple in 1936. They were married 31 years, until Rex passed in 1967. They had two sons, John and Jerald Laub. Beth outlived both of her boys, John 1989 and Jerry 1994. Beth married LaMont Vance in 1988. He was her companion until his death in 2001.

Beth was survived by 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and her dear sister Jaleen Jones, of Mesa Arizona.

Beth outlived many loved ones in her long life. She was not happy being “left behind.” There was undoubtedly a joyous celebration as she was reunited with her family members who preceded her in death, including: parents, William “Art” and Olga Karren Allen; spouses, Rex Laub and Lamont Vance; children, John and Jerald Laub; brothers, Kenneth, Fred, Reese and Jay Allen; grandchildren, Jason Laub, Tyler Roper, James Burnett.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 12 noon in the Eden Stake Center 6500 E. 1900 N. Eden, UT. Burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Eden, UT.
